The Wig Chix

Founded by two friends who believed that choosing alternative hair should feel joyful, empowering, and entirely personal, whether you are here for fashion, fullness, or a fresh beginning.

Wig Chix was founded by two friends, Cindy Taylor and Cindy Gilstrap, who were passionate about assisting people who suffer from hair loss. They wanted to provide women, men, and children with affordable, stylish, and professional-looking wigs. The idea originated with helping cancer patients in the community and evolved into a private, nurturing environment where customers enjoy a true salon experience at our brick-and-mortar location in Rome, Georgia.

What started as a hobby has become our passion. Wig Chix LLC has been a well-known wig shop in Rome, GA since 2019, and we are proud to have served years of happy customers, with many more to come.

Two friends, one vision

Cindy Gilstrap

Worked in tax and accounting software for 25 years. Married, with six children and six grandchildren. The most important member of her family is her black lab, Bear.

Cindy Taylor

A cosmetologist for 30 years and a salon owner for 21 years. Married, with four children and a dog.

Their combined experience provides a warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable team, dedicated to helping every client look and feel their best.

Our mission

A vision rooted in compassion

The Wig Chix was born from a desire to serve individuals dealing with hair loss due to medical conditions such as cancer treatments, alopecia, and trichotillomania. We recognized the profound emotional effects of hair loss and aimed to provide a solution that restores confidence and dignity.

Our vision was simple yet powerful: to create a space where people find not only high-quality wigs, but also empathy, support, and a renewed sense of self. Over time, our reach expanded to include clients with arthritis, orthopedic issues, or other physical limitations, and those who wear wigs simply for the joy and convenience of it.

Non-surgical hair replacement

We offer non-surgical hair replacement for men through American Hairlines, hand-tied, 100% Remy human hair systems, available exclusively in-studio with our certified cosmetologists. Three subscription options are tailored to your needs; each includes the hair piece, bonding material, haircut and styling, removal of the existing piece, and a scalp treatment.
